West Ridge Men’s Golf Group holds charity tourney — The West Ridge Men’s Golf Group from Central Oregon put on a charity pro-am golf tournament Aug. 10 at the Juniper Golf Course in Redmond. Seventy-five amateurs teamed up with 20 Central Oregon pros to play golf while supporting the charity aspect of the tournament. First-place honors were shared by golf professionals Jesse Heinly and Jared Lambert, each shooting a 66. The high point of the tournament was the presentation of checks for $3,160 to the Boys and Girls Club of Bend and Friends of the Children Central Oregon. Bess Goggins, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Bend, and Rachel Cardwell, co-executive director of Friends of the Children Central Oregon, accepted the checks on behalf of their organizations.
