Summit could not hold on to a fourth-quarter lead, falling to McNary 54-42 Tuesday night at home in the Mountain Valley Conference boys basketball opener for both teams.

The Storm led 38-35 entering the fourth period but were held to just two field goals in the final eight minutes — a jump shot by Jacob Tompkins and a Shane Arnold putback.

Freshman Julian Mora scored 19 points to lead Summit. Tompkins added 13.

The Storm (3-8 overall) play at Mountain View on Friday.
