WARRENTON — Bend’s Olivia Loberg outlasted Tigard’s Victoria Gailey on the 19th hole Friday to win the girls (ages 15-18) title on the final day of the 88th Bob Norquist Oregon Junior Amateur Championship.

Loberg, who will be a senior this fall at Summit High School, and Gailey, a recent Tigard High graduate, went to the 18th hole at Astoria Golf and Country Club all square. At 18, Gailey rolled a long birdie attempt 4 feet past the hole. Then Loberg, putting from just off the green, left herself a 5-foot putt for par. Both players made their par putts to force extra holes, and Loberg won it on the 19th.

Loberg was medalist in Monday’s 18-hole stroke-play qualifier, carding an even-par 72 to win by two strokes. During the week she won three rounds of match play leading up to Friday’s final, including a 21-hole semifinal victory over West Linn’s Olivia Venderby on Thursday.
