OGA under new regional alliance — Along with 58 other regional golf associations, the Oregon Golf Association has entered into a new alliance with the United States Golf Association to enhance golfers’ experiences at the state and local levels. The Allied Golf Associations, as it will be called, will administer the USGA Handicap and Course Rating Systems within specified geographic areas across the country, and they will be the primary resources for those looking into championship qualifiers, governance and programs. Oregon is in the AGA west region along with Washington, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, California, Utah, Arizona, Alaska and Hawaii.
