SUNRIVER — Kenneth Linden, from Roseburg, shot a net 8-under-par 64 in Thursday’s championship round to win the Pacific Amateur Golf Classic championship at Crosswater Club by two strokes.

The final round, featuring the top four finishers from each flight of five net divisions and an open gross division, ended as Linden’s best score of the four-day tournament as he topped the 44-finisher field for the title. Kathy McDonald, from Sammamish, Washington, finished two strokes back.

Thomas Rehorst, from Colorado Springs, Colorado, was third at 5 under, while James Franke, from Eatonville, Washington, took fourth with the same score. Rounding out the top five was Rick Gehrke, from Meridian, Idaho, who recorded a 3 under.

The top Central Oregon finisher was Bend’s Joshua Bastian, who won Flight 1 of the men’s division Wednesday. Bastian shot a 2 under to take sixth.
