Ice Skating

Pavilion to open for Halloween — The Pavilion will open for the winter season with a Halloween skate Tuesday. The opening day fee will be $6 per skater, which includes skate rental. Skaters may wear Halloween costumes. Winter season programs will begin in November, and the ice rink will remain open until mid-April, weather permitting. A full schedule of Pavilion activities is available at www.bendparksandrec.org/the-pavilion/schedules, and registration for ice rink activities is also available at the park district website. Those who purchase a season pass before Wednesday will receive a 10 percent off. All skaters are encouraged to wear helmets on the ice, and The Pavilion will offer helmets for patrons to borrow this winter.


Cascade Rush to host 3-on-3 tourney — Cascade Rush to the Cup, a 3-on-3 indoor soccer tournament, will be held at Cascade Indoor Sports on Dec. 29 and 30. There will be five age divisions for both boys and girls as well as men’s, women’s and co-ed adult categories. Teams may have three to five players. Registration costs $200 per team and closes Nov. 30. Games are 24 minutes and teams are guaranteed at least four games. Players are not allowed to play in cleats.
