KELOWNA, British Columbia — Niko Holm had himself a series.

The Santa Clara senior went 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBIs in the Bend Elks’ 19-7 win over the Kelowna Falcons on Monday evening.

The Elks took two games against the Falcons for their second straight road series win. The 19 runs were a season high.

In the three-game series, Holm went 6-for-12 with two homers and three doubles to raise his batting average 36 points to .245. The first baseman had 12 of his 24 season RBIs in the series.

Holm scored in the first inning, had a two-run single in the Elks’ six-run second, and hit an RBI double in a four-run third to give the Elks an 11-4 lead. He then hit a two-run shot in the ninth, his second homer in as many nights after not hitting one since June 15 in his second game of the season.

Rocco Ferrari added a pair of two-run home runs for Bend, also his first since June 15. Charlie Maxwell had a season-high four hits.

The Elks’ offensive burst provided needed support for starter Dylan Suppan (2-0), who allowed six runs (three earned) on six hits and four walks in five innings. The right-hander struck out three.

The Elks return home for a key three-game series against Yakima Valley. First pitch Tuesday is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. at Vince Genna Stadium.
