The Portland Timbers U23 team brings semiprofessional men’s soccer to Central Oregon this weekend for the third straight year, featuring a game between the Timbers and Eugene-based Lane United FC.
The game is set for 2 p.m. on Sunday at Summit High School in Bend. Admission will be charged; tickets are available online at timbersu23.com or at the gate.
Former Portland Timbers star Jack Jewsbury will conduct a free skills clinic at Summit before the game from noon until 1 p.m. The clinic is open to the public.
Following the game, the Timbers will host a golf tournament at Tetherow Golf Club, where Jewsbury and other members of the Timbers organization are expected to compete alongside others in a two-man best ball tournament. For more information on the golf event, visit www.timbersu23.com/golf/.
