A rundown of games and events to watch for locally and nationally from the world of sports (all times Pacific):

Monday

Women’s college basketball, Oregon State vs. Gonzaga at Corvallis, 6 p.m. (ESPN): The No. 4-seeded Beavers dodged a bullet in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, going overtime to turn back No. 13 Boise State. Oregon State has the home-court advantage again against the Zags, who stand between the Beavers and a fourth straight trip to the Sweet 16.

Monday

NBA basketball, Brooklyn at Portland, 7 p.m. (NBC Sports Northwest, NBA TV): Winners of six of their last seven games and 12 of their last 16, the Trail Blazers look to sweep a four-game homestand with a victory over the Nets. On Wednesday, Portland is at Chicago to open a four-game road trip that will include stops in Atlanta, Detroit and Minnesota.

Monday-Tuesday

Prep softball, Redmond High Spring Break Tournament: The 16 teams in the field for this two-day softball festival include six from Central Oregon: Redmond, Ridgeview, Summit, Mountain View, Crook County and Madras. Games will be played all day both days on diamonds at Redmond, Ridgeview and Crook County high schools, and on Tuesday at the Bowlby Complex in Redmond.

Thursday

Major League Baseball, Opening Day, Baltimore at N.Y. Yankees, 10 a.m. (ESPN); Arizona at L.A. Dodgers, 1 p.m. (ESPN); Boston at Seattle, 4 p.m. (ESPN): The Mariners and A’s played the regular season’s first two games last week in Tokyo, and now all 30 teams are in action to begin the 2019 campaign. Not including international games, this will be MLB’s earliest opening day ever.

Friday-Saturday

Rodeo, High Desert Stampede in Redmond, 7 p.m. both days: Many of the top riders and ropers in pro rodeo will be in the field for two nights of PRCA action at the Deschutes County fairgrounds’ First Interstate Bank Center, where the total prize purse will be more than $150,000.
