June V. Rogers, our beloved mother and granny passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family.

Born in Florida in 1927 to Louis and Edna (Sproat) McDowell, she spent most of her childhood in Los Angeles. Her family relocated to Bend in 1943, and she became a pen pal to Harold Rogers who was serving in World War II.

After the war, Harold returned to Bend, and they married in 1945. Their daughter, Robin, was born in 1946. Their second daughter, Katie, was born in 1951. Harold and June started building homes in Bend in 1954 and maintained a successful business over the next 25 years.

Harold died in 1987, but June continued her active life managing her rentals, playing cards, gardening and spending time with her great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold and daughter, Katie Miller.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin and husband, Bob Cannon of Salem, granddaughter, Kristi Miller Allardyce and husband, Mark of Bend, granddaughter, Jolie Miller, grandson, Scott Miller and five great-grandchildren.

In the last weeks of her life, she received extraordinary compassion and care from the hospice team at Partners In Care.
