Tim Frakes, 70, of Baker City, OR, died October 20, 2017, at St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise, ID, of heart failure.

At his request there will be no service. He was cremated and his ashes will be spread at a later date in Deschutes County.

Tim was born June 6, 1947, in Redmond, OR, to James Shirley Frakes and Mary Eleanor VanVleet. He was raise on a dairy farm in Tumalo, OR. He spent his growing up years in the Central Oregon area, graduating from Redmond High School, class of 1965.

Tim is survived by his wife, Karen Frakes of Baker City, OR; his son, Tyler (Jenny) Frakes of Newberg, OR; stepchildren, Steve (Jodi) Hack of Salem, OR, Lisa (Sid) Prowell of Baker City, OR, and Katrina (Gary) Davidson of Elgin, OR. His grandchildren, Brooklyn and Mckenna Frakes, Reece (Alex) Hack, Reilly Jane Hack, Jace Prowell, Shelby Prowell, Drake Davidson and Shalynn Davidson; his sisters, Pat Dean of Redmond, OR, and Shirley Schwartz of Portland, OR, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his father, James Frakes; his mother, Mary Eleanor Hobbs; his stepmom, Belva Frakes; and stepfather, Elmer Hobbs.
