Della Marjorie (Phillips) Tennant passed away of natural causes on December 15, 2014 at the age of 95. Born in 1919 in St. Louis, MO, she is survived by two sisters, Jessie Marinos and Virginia Byers; her children Dennis McKay, Bruce McKay, Van McKay and Janet McKay; step-children, John McKay and Dorothy (McKay) Fuhrman; step-grandchildren Timothy Fuhrman and Mitch Furhman; grandchildren Sarah McKay and Evan McKay; step-great grandson Hayden Fuhrman as well as her current love, Don Buchanan. Della has survived five husbands, Brennan Keller, Lewis Robison, Gordon McKay, Richard Smith, and Forrest Tennant and lost one son, Norman McKay, 1947-2008. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, quilting, dancing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She and husband Gordon McKay (former State Senator from Bend) traveled many miles in their motor home carrying them across the country several times while wearing out two engines. They frequently drove to watch Oregon Duck football for home and away games. A Celebration of Life is being held at noon, Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 at Glenwood Place Senior Living, Vancouver, Washington. A brief graveside service will be held at noon, Sunday, January 4th at Pilot Butte Cemetery in Bend, Oregon.
