On Monday, the Deschutes National Forest will close the Tiddlywinks Trail between Wanoga Sno-park and the junction with Forest Road 4613, according to a press release.
The closures are being made for safety during forest thinning operations.
Closures on the Funner Trail from Wanoga Sno-park east to the junction with Forest Road 4613-500 and Forest Road 4614 between the junction with Forest Road 4614-400 north to the Cascade Lakes Highway remain in place
Mountain bikers and others in these areas should use caution when traveling on forest roads and be prepared for logging traffic. Closures are in effect from 10 p.m. Sunday to 3 p.m. Friday. Access to these areas is open from 3 p.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Sunday.
The Forest Service reports increased violations of trail closure areas and says if users continue to disregard the closures, the closure areas will be moved further out from the work area. For more information about the closures, please contact the Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District at 541-383-5300.
