Ward Road will be closed between U.S. Highway 20 and Bear Creek Road in Bend for five days starting on Monday for a paving and reconstruction project.
Drivers can expect intermittent delays of up to 20 minutes on Bear Creek Road at the intersection of Ward Road, according to the Deschutes County Road Department.
The $697,000 project will include rebuilding and paving Ward Road between Highway 20 and Stevens Road and paving several local adjacent streets, including Bronco Lane, Filly Court, Stud Court, Old Red Road, Mare Court, Dobbin Court, and Dobbin Road.
From Sept. 16 to Sept. 27, the southern portion of Ward Road between Bear Creek Road and Stevens Road will be closed for paving, as well.
Drivers and cyclists should anticipate delays and are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the work zone and detour routes. The project is expected to be completed by Oct. 11.
