A Bend woman was arrested Sunday morning after allegedly firing a handgun during a domestic dispute.
Just after 9 a.m. Sunday, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office received a domestic dispute call involving a firearm, according to a release from the sheriff’s office. The caller said his girlfriend had a handgun and had fired a round next to his head. The man said his girlfriend left the house and was sitting in her vehicle outside.
A sheriff’s deputy arrived a few minutes later and, gun drawn, arrested Gina Lee Bendsneyder, 54, according to the sheriff’s office. She was taken into custody without incident and jailed at the Deschutes County jail on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon, pointing a firearm at another and recklessly endangering another.
No one was hurt in the incident.
