The 30th annual Oregon High Desert Classics horse show is underway at J Bar J Boys Ranch in northeast Bend.

The hunter jumper show brings nearly 800 horses and 3,000 professional and amateur competitors to the ranch. The events raise money in support of five youth-serving agencies overseen by the nonprofit J Bar J Youth Services.

Highlights of the show this weekend include the $5,000 U.S. Hunter Jumper Association National Hunter Derby at 4 p.m. Friday, the $25,000 Grand Prix at 5 p.m. Saturday, the $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby at 8 a.m. Sunday and the $5,000 Mini Grand Prix at 2 p.m. Sunday

Competition events are free and open to the public. Vendors are available on site.

J Bar J Boys Ranch is located at 62895 Hamby Road.

The horse show continues July 24-28.
