In an apparent road rage incident Thursday, a 71-year-old Sisters man was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at a Bend couple with small children in their car.

According to a Bend Police Department press release, officers responded to a reported road rage incident at about 2:30 p.m. Bend residents Kory Allen, 27, and Brittani Williamson, 23, reported that a man in another vehicle had pointed a gun at them near the intersection of NE Eighth Street and NE Olney Avenue. Two children, a 1-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl, were in the pair’s car at the time.

Police found the suspect’s vehicle near NE Neff Road and NE Purcell Avenue and took 71-year-old Zeke Duge of Sisters into custody. Officers confirmed that Duge had pointed a loaded gun at Allen’s vehicle, according to the press release.

A gun was taken from Duge’s vehicle, and Duge was taken to the Deschutes County jail on a variety of charges, including menacing, reckless endangering and driving under the influence of intoxicants.
