The chairwoman of Bend 2030’s board of directors will fill in as interim director while the nonprofit organization searches for a replacement for their executive director.
Former Bend 2030 executive director Erin Foote Morgan resigned at the end of December because she disagreed with a board decision to continue advocating for specific policy positions. Board chairwoman Jillian Taylor, a business consultant, will serve as interim director and take a temporary leave of absence from her position as chairwoman.
Taylor will remain on the board, but will not be a voting member during the three- to four-month search for a new director. Bend 2030 will pay her for her work as interim director.
Bend 2030 is still setting up a search committee for Foote Morgan’s permanent replacement and hopes to find a local candidate who knows the community but likely will be open to other candidates as well, board member Georell Bracelin said in an email.
