The cause of a house fire in northeast Bend early Tuesday is not yet known, the Bend Fire Department said in a news release.

Firefighters were called to the 900 block of NE Decatur at 2:41 a.m., after the residents were awakened by their smoke alarms. Arriving crews found a fire in the garage beginning to grow into the second story of the residence, and two cars on fire in the driveway.

A fire door between the house and the garage stopped the fire from entering the first floor of the living area.

Losses were estimated at $215,000, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
