Players run through drills during a youth hockey practice at The Pavilion in Bend, which is run by the Bend Park & Recreation District.

The Pavilion off Colorado Avenue in Bend is opening its ice rink Monday, according to the Bend Park & Recreation District.

The ice rink is expected to be open through early April, weather permitting. Activities on the ice will be offered from dawn to late night, seven days a week, including public open skating and adult and youth hockey leagues.

Weekly schedules are available on the park district's website. All public skate sessions are drop-in with no reservation needed.

The Pavilion is offering ice season passes for unlimited public skate sessions along with options for multi-visit passes and single-visit entrance.

Youth and adult hockey programs, curling and skate lessons begin Monday. Many programs through December are nearly full with limited availability for registration online at register.bendparksandrec.org.
