Bend police arrested a Bend man Friday morning on suspicion of luring a 16-year-old.

On Thursday, police began investigating reports that Jay Turley, 34, was allegedly contacting a teen girl on social media with the intent of sexual contact, according to a Bend Police Department press release.

Police issued a search warrant Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. at Turley’s home on Riverside Boulevard, where he was the only resident, the release stated. Evidence was taken and Turley was booked into the Deschutes County jail on suspicion of of luring a minor.
