A 21-year-old Bend man who ran from a traffic stop Thursday night was arrested on numerous charges, including attempted first-degree assault.
Witnesses told Bend Police officers it appeared Cameron Matthew Hall was trying to run over pedestrians near the Box Factory shopping center on Industrial Way.
Hall now faces 10 separate charges.
At about 9:30 p.m., police received numerous reports of an intoxicated driver in the downtown area. Witnesses described seeing a 2015 Jeep Compass nearly striking a 26-year-old woman riding a motorcycle.
Hall was pulled over near NW Bond Street and NW Minnesota Avenue. Hall allegedly ran but was captured after a short foot chase, according to Bend Police.
He was taken to Deschutes County jail and booked on suspicion of attempted first-degree assault, driving under the influence, reckless driving, reckless endangering, eluding police, third-degree escape, interfering with a police officer, second-degree criminal mischief and driving with a suspended license. Hall was further found to have a felony warrant for a prior arrest for DUII and reckless driving.
He remained jailed Friday without bail.
