Bulletin Staff Report

All six libraries in the Deschutes Public Library system will have expanded hours starting Aug.1.

The biggest change comes at the East Bend Library, which will now be open on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. — it has previously been closed Mondays. The branch will also be open an hour later on Saturdays, closing at 6 p.m., and will close two hours earlier on Thursdays, also at 6 p.m. It will still be closed Sundays.

The other five libraries will open earlier and close later on most days. The downtown Bend branch will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, adding at least two hours to each day. On Fridays and Saturdays, the library will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday hours will not change.

In Redmond, the library will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, adding 9 more hours of service each week. The branch will remain closed on Sundays.

Libraries in La Pine, Sunriver and Sisters will each be open one hour later on Saturdays, until 6 p.m.
