A number of Central Oregon schools and districts have canceled classes today as a result of the ongoing winter storm.
Closures include the Bend-LaPine, Redmond, Crook County, Jefferson County, Culver and Sisters school districts and Redmond Proficiency Academy. Evening activities today are canceled as well.
All classes and evening activities are canceled today at Central Oregon Community College campuses in Bend, Redmond, Madras and Prineville. Classes are also canceled today at Oregon State University-Cascades in Bend.
All NeighborImpact offices and Head Start classes are closed today as well.
Meanwhile, all facilities and programs of the Bend Park and Recreation District and Redmond Area Park and Recreation District will be closed today.
Meals on Wheels will not be delivered in Bend today or tomorrow, and the Council on Aging offices are closed today. People who receive Meals on Wheels have emergency food supplies to last through the storm, according to the Council on Aging.
State offices are also closed in Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson counties today. Circuit courts in Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties also are closed today. City offices in Bend and Redmond are closed.
St. Charles Health System closed all outpatient clinics except the following:
St. Charles Cancer Center in Bend and Redmond: open until 2 p.m.
St. Charles Immediate Care in Bend and LaPine: open until 3 p.m.
St. Charles Family Care in Prineville: open until 3 p.m.
St. Charles Heart & Lung Center: open normal business hours.
In addition, Cascade Disposal and Bend Garbage and Recycling have suspended garbage pickup Monday. Customers are being asked to wait a week to put out garbage and recycling bins.
Monday’s Central Oregon Symphony concert has been canceled.
The Bulletin’s lobby will close at noon.
