The city of Prineville is a finalist to receive funding for a new playground through a program sponsored by Moda Health and the Portland Trail Blazers.

Voting will begin online at trailblazers.com/assists from Feb. 20 to March 20 to select which city will receive funding for a new playground.

If selected, Prineville would use the funding to build a playground at Old Stryker Field.

The Moda Assist Program commits $20 per assist during each Trail Blazers game to fund installing a playground at the end of the season.

Over the Trail Blazers’ first 48 games this season, through January 21, the team has accumulated 1,050 assists, equal to $21,000 for a playground.

In 2018, Redmond’s Baker Park was the winner of the playground.
