A homeless man armed with a pry bar was arrested Tuesday afternoon for allegedly threatening other people at a homeless camp in east Bend.
An unidentified woman called Deschutes County 911 at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday to report that Nathan Felix was threatening people with a hatchet at a camp in a field behind 20750 Brinson Boulevard. When police arrived, Felix was uncooperative and threatened officers, according to a Bend Police press release. He was armed with a pry bar rather than a hatchet.
Nathan Mitchell Felix, 30, was taken into custody and charged with unlawful use of a weapon, menacing and disorderly conduct. Felix’s alleged victims, who were not harmed, are listed as Holly Presley, 35, and Scott Rentieria, 25, both homeless.
According to court documents, Felix was charged on Jan. 2 with criminal mischief for damaging a Bend Police vehicle on Dec. 31.
