A Bend man and volunteer wrestling coach was arrested Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of sending sexually explicit pictures to a Bend High School student.

Erick Nazario Aguirre, 24 was booked into the Deschutes County jail.

According to a Bend Police Department press release, the student athlete told Bend High staff and the school resource officer Wednesday about sexual social media posts on a fake account Nazario Aguirre is alleged to have used. The student also said this person sending the messages tried to get the student to engage in sexual activity. After discussions, the student identified the fake account. Nazario Aguirre is alleged to have disguised himself as a recent graduate from another local high school.

Nazario Aguirre, a volunteer wrestling coach at Bend High, was arrested by Bend police after school Wednesday on suspicion of five counts of luring a minor for sexual contact, five counts of first-degree online sexual corruption of a child and five counts of second-degree online sexual corruption of a child.

The student’s name and gender were not disclosed by police.
