A Bend man is facing 40 counts of viewing child pornography after authorities received a tip from Dropbox.
Jonathan Allen Walior, 22, was charged Thursday in Deschutes County Circuit Court with 20 counts of first-degree encouraging child sex abuse and 20 counts of second-degree encouraging child sex abuse. Both crimes are felonies.
In October, Dropbox reported to the federal Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force that an account had uploaded images in April depicting infants through pre-pubescent children engaged in sex acts, with adults and with each other, according to the Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office. The account was later determined to belong to Walior, according to the district attorney’s office.
On Wednesday, Bend Police searched a home on Ferguson Road and found “hundreds of images that are clearly child pornography,” said Bend Lt. Clint Burleigh.
“The images are extremely explicit in nature,” Burleigh said.
Walior is scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 13.
