Central Oregon Community College is hosting a forum on homelessness featuring guest speaker Ibrahim Bilal Mubarak at noon Friday on the Bend campus.

Mubarak, a recognized expert on homelessness, is the founder of the Right 2 Dream Too homeless camp in Portland. He will facilitate the discussion about the root causes and issues in the homeless community.

The forum’s purpose is to engage leaders about homelessness in the community. Mubarak will address issues such as systemic homelessness and training for police, park rangers, government officials and social workers.

The forum is presented by COCC Addictions Studies and the Human Services Club and will be held in Wille Hall located at 2600 NW College Way in Bend. Lunch will be provided.
