The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 60-year-old Bend woman who has been missing for about a week.
Susan P. Lewis, who may be suffering from a mental illness, had been out of state for an extended period while receiving medical treatment but had returned to Central Oregon on April 15, according to a news release from Sgt. William Bailey of the sheriff’s office.
On Friday, the sheriff’s office received a report that Lewis’s white 2007 Volkswagen Passat had been left unattended for several days near Sisemore Road and Couch Market Road, northwest of Bend, the release stated. Lewis lives about two miles from where the Passat was parked.
Authorities have no description of what Lewis was wearing, but believe she has a cell phone with her, although it may be off, the release stated.
Lewis is 5-foot-2 inches tall, weighs about 115 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.
The public is asked to report any information about to Lewis by calling 541-693-6911.
