The Central Oregon Health Council (COHC), the governing board that oversees the region’s Medicaid population, has named Donna Mills as its new executive director.

Mills — the former CEO of Integrated Community Health Partners, a similar group based in Colorado — will take over the position Nov. 2. She replaces Lindsey Hopper, who left the COHC to serve as vice president of Medicaid programs for PacificSource Community Solutions. In the role, Mills will oversee care coordination and budgeting and will implement a new Regional Health Improvement Plan for Central Oregon.

The COHC oversees Central Oregon’s coordinated care organization, the entity that administers funding and coordinates care for the region’s Medicaid population, known in Oregon as the Oregon Health Plan. There are 16 CCOs in Oregon. Central Oregon’s CCO is operated by PacificSource Community Solutions.

Tammy Baney, COHC board chairwoman, said Mills’ passion and experience is exactly what the board needs to create a healthier population. For more information, contact Baney at 541-388-6567 or .
