A car crash and a car fire snarled traffic near Sisters on Sunday afternoon.

A three-vehicle crash occurred on U.S. Highway 20 at Paradise Alley southeast of downtown at about 4 p.m.. Officials from Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon Department of Transportation and Cloverdale Fire responded and traffic was diverted while the highway was closed for 1.5 hours. One arrest was made, but details were unavailable.

Shortly after that, a car fire was reported on U.S. Highway 126 and Cloverdale Road, briefly blocking eastbound and westbound traffic. Officials from Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and Redmond Fire responded.

The incidents occurred about the time crowds were leaving the nearby Sisters Rodeo.
