The Education Foundation for Bend-La Pine Schools has named Bob Jones the organization’s new executive director.

Jones has served on the foundation’s board and has an extensive history in the school district, working as Mountain View High principal for seven years and as the district’s director of learning options, online programs, athletics and activities for five years, according to a release.

The foundation, which raises money for purposes including athletic fee scholarships and learning materials, has given around $1.4 million to the schools.
