Once a regular with the Sisters Folk Festival, Seattle singer-songwriter Noah Gundersen will return to Central Oregon to play Volcanic Theatre Pub on Monday in support of his latest solo album, “Lover.” The record, released this summer, continues the sonic expansion found on 2017’s “White Noise,” which reintroduced the driving rock rhythms of his previous project, The Courage (featuring Bend songwriter Travis Ehrenstrom), to the indie/alt-folk sound of his 2015 breakthrough solo LP “Carry the Ghost.” But “Lover” heads in a different direction, with more electronic-influenced soundscapes and intricate vocal harmonies that add to the quiet majesty of songs such as “Crystal Creek” or the haunting “Audrey Hepburn.” Former The Futures League bassist-turned-solo artist Scott Ruth will open the show.

Noah Gundersen, with Scott Ruth: 9 p.m. Monday; $15 plus fees in advance, $18 at the door; Volcanic Theatre Pub, 70 SW Century Drive, Bend; volcanictheatre.com or 541-323-1881.
