Since 2013, Beat Lab Radio has featured exclusive tracks and mixes by electronic music producers in Bend and beyond on its weekly show, broadcast Thursday nights on 92.9 FM. Up until last summer, the collective also kept busy with live showcases at The Capitol, featuring touring acts such as X&G and Great Dane alongside its own stable of artists such as WelterWeight and Matt Wax. After more than half a year away, during which time the group racked up a number of festival appearances outside Bend, the showcases will return to The Capitol on Saturday. Version 2.0 of Beat Lab Radio promises to again feature artists on the cutting edge of the electronic, dance, drum ’n’ bass and DJ scenes, with live projection and lighting by Jeff Morris. Saturday’s show will feature local mainstays Matt Wax, WelterWeight and Lonely Stacks, plus a special guest to be revealed at the show (Wax would only reveal that this artist releases tracks on the STYLSS and Shadowtrix Music labels). Bend, it’s time to head back to the lab.

Beat Lab Radio Reemergence Showcase, with Matt Wax, WelterWeight, Lonely Stacks: 9 p.m. Saturday, doors open at 8 p.m.; $5; The Capitol, 190 NW Oregon Ave., Bend; or 541-678-5740.
