Richard and Christine (Wilson) Frey, of Bend, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Hawaii and a family reunion over the Fourth of July weekend.

The couple were married June 28, 1969, at the First Presbyterian Church in Warren, Ohio. They met while attending Grove City College in Pennsylvania in 1965. The male attendants at the wedding were fellow Air Force officers and the brother of the bride. They have two children, Leah (and Lee Hanlin), of Quincy, Illinois, and John (and Jessica) Frey, of Bend, and two grandchildren.

Mr. Frey served six years in the Air Force. He designed radio frequency semiconductors at Microsemi and retired Oct. 1, 2015. He is the president of the Central Oregon ham Radio Contest Club and likes to ski, cycle and play bridge.

Mrs. Frey is a retired math teacher and volunteers at the High Desert Museum in the living history program and makes her own costumes. She is active in the United Methodist Women’s group, takes ballet and enjoys gardening, cycling and bridge.

They have lived in Bend for 22 years.
