Vivian Bristol, of Bend, celebrated her 90th birthday with a family brunch on Oct. 14 at Touchmark’s 4 Seasons Dining room.

Mrs. Bristol was born Oct. 15, 1928 in Caldwell, Idaho. She married Robert Leonard Bristol, who died June 11, 1996. She has three children, Ann (and Bruce) of Yakima, Washington, Roger (and Pam) of Harrisburg and Karen (and Mike) of Corvallis; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bristol was an active community volunteer for much of her life after moving to Bend in 1952 where her husband, Bob, started a dental practice. She is a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, P.E.O and Allied Arts. She loves the history of Oregon and Bend and is happy to fill anyone in on facts, stories or anecdotes.

She has lived in Oregon for 88 years.
