A 75-year-old Eagle Crest woman, who was missing since Tuesday afternoon, was found Wednesday morning by a man walking his dog west of the Eagle Crest subdivision.
A friend of Marion Price called 911 at 5:54 p.m. Tuesday to report Price had not returned from a hike she went on earlier in the day.
Price had two dogs with her, a beagle mix and a border collie mix. They were all last seen at about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.
Price left her cell phone at her home and was not believed to have a light source with her, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office search and rescue volunteers searched for Price until 1 a.m. Wednesday and sheriff’s deputies remained in the area overnight. The search resumed at around 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Deputies received a report at 7:48 a.m. from a man who was walking his dog in the area and came across Price and the two dogs. The man assisted her back to a search staging area near Eagle Crest.
Price was not injured and declined medical attention.
