Senior running back Keenan Harpole had a monster game for Mountain View on Friday night, piling up 287 yards on 30 carries and scoring six touchdowns in the Cougars’ 67-19 football romp over Southridge.

The nonleague victory was Mountain View’s second straight win going into a key Class 6A Special District 6 game next Friday at West Salem. The 67 points set a school record for scoring, according to Cougars coach Brian Crum.

Mountain View improved to 3-3 overall, while the Skyhawks from Beaverton dropped to 2-4.

“The defense played outstanding tonight too,” said Crum. “They got us some short fields, and we were able to take advantage of that.”

Luke Roberts had two interceptions to pace the Mountain View defense.

Quarterback Jakoby Moss completed 5 of 7 passes for 92 yards and a touchdown and Declan Corrigan had two catches for 32 yards and a TD for Mountain View.
