Less than a year after receiving $3 million in venture capital, Bend software startup Dutchie, which delivers cannabis to your home, just raised $15 million more in investment Tuesday.
Some of the investors are celebrities, such as venture capital firms backed by rapper Snoop Dogg and Brooklyn Nets basketball star Kevin Durant, according to a Dutchie press release. Other investors include founders of other tech companies like Shutterstock and DoorDash.
Founded in 2017, Dutchie allows people to buy cannabis products online from local dispensaries for pickup or delivery. It works with 450 dispensaries across 18 states, according to the press release.
Dutchie’s total investment is now $18 million, which will be used for hiring “top talent,” developing new products and enticing new customers, the release stated.
