• Lora DiCarlo, a Bend-based startup that designed a sex toy for women, received a $99,637 Business Oregon Enhanced Phase 0 grant for the commercialization of its product, Osé. The company believes this is the first time a state government has supported a sexual-health technology company.

• Bladerunner Energy of Bend is one of several companies that will receive grants totaling $220,000 from the Cascadia CleanTech Accelerator. The grant will support Bladerunner’s collaboration with Oregon State University on validation of the company’s hydropower device. The 15-week accelerator program is open to applications with a deadline of April 17, 2019. Central Oregon businesses are encouraged to apply.

• Sunshine Retirement Living, based in Bend, seeks to fill corporate positions in accounting and accounts payable, resident accounts, asset management, and interior design. The company manages 21 retirement properties in 10 states and has about 800 employees.
