Re-elect Walden

I support Greg Walden for the 2nd Congressional District. Here’s why: Congressman Walden has supported the following:

Active forest management to reduce catastrophic wildfires.

Drought relief for Klamath Basin.

He secured relief for Oregon farmers and ranchers impacted by wildfires.

He sought support for broadband expansion for rural Oregon.

He highlighted legislation to reduce drug prices and increase control for patients.

He encouraged Oregon students to apply for nomination to the U.S. service academies.

He continues to help fight the opioid epidemic.

He continues to help veterans both homeless vets, Vietnam vets and those struggling with the VA bureaucracy. In May 1018 the House passed his bill to improve care for Oregon veterans.

He supported tax reform that will help Oregon’s middle class especially pushing for a provision that will allow Oregon’s residents to deduct a portion of their state income tax.

$36.9 million in PILT rural health care funding.

As chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee he played a key role in tying the continuation of the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to a bill ending the government shutdown.

The list goes on, but Greg Walden gets results in Congress. There is a reason he got the endorsement of the Bend Bulletin and he definitely will be getting my vote this election.

Vote for McLeod-Skinner

In the debates that have been occurring about Oregon’s House representative I believe that Jamie McLeod-Skinner would be a great fit.

Jamie has made multiple claims to assist veterans who don’t have homes; she’s also made claims to assist in health care so that medical attention can be more accessible.

Jamie can make a change; she has pushed to make the changes that she has said she’d work on and not just say them to let them slide until later.

Jamie has gone to the lengths to make sure that housing in Oregon is affordable; she’s been working to make good and sustaining jobs, and she’s been working with communities to better economic growth.

Jamie has been pushing to make Oregon a better and just country Jamie will make the change that Oregon has needed for a long time.

I vote for Jamie.

Elect McLeod-Skinner

Congratulations Republicans! Your massive tax cuts have resulted in the biggest budget deficit in the last six years. Could that be because corporate taxes have dropped by 30 percent?

But now you want to blame the Democrats because they won’t go along with your plan to cut Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. Shame on you. I urge everyone to vote Democrat, beginning with Jamie McLeod-Skinner for United States Congress.

Support McLeod-Skinner

Jamie McLeod-Skinner is running for Congress. It’s our chance to work and vote for change. 20+ years of Walden representing Eastern Oregon is too many.

Jamie will bring a fresh perspective and is committed to speaking for all people in her district. She is emphasizing health care in her campaign because the Republican majority, including Walden, will continue to work to take away health care for many of the most in need.

Walden proudly stood behind President Trump during his victory speech after the House voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

If they had been able to repeal the ACA, 1 in 5 people in this district would have lost their health care including people like me with pre-existing conditions.

It’s time for a sane, intelligent discussion and then action on health care.

I believe that Jamie is the kind of representative who will fight to meet the needs of people in District 2.

Please vote for Jamie McLeod-Skinner.
