Swedish punk quartet Millencolin will skate into the Domino Room for its first Bend performance Wednesday.

The long-running band returned this year with its first studio album in four years, “SOS,” which continues the loud-hard-fast return-to-form started with 2015’s “True Brew” while adding a political bent on songs such as the title track, which tackles social media obsession, and the Bad Religion-esque “Yanny & Laurel.”

That’s a far cry from the band’s early skate-punk days in the ’90s, when video games, food and skateboarding were the most common topics, but makes sense given the trajectory the group has been on since its 2000 U.S. breakthrough “Pennybridge Pioneers.” Fellow ’90s punks Mest will open the show.

Millencolin, with Mest: 7 p.m. Wednesday; $20 plus fees; Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend; midtownbend.com or 541-408-4329.
