Never mind oxford commas, because Vampire Weekend is headed to Bend next summer.
The indie rock and pop group known for singles such as “Horchata,” “Mansard Roof” and yes, “Oxford Comma,” will make its debut in the city at Les Schwab Amphitheater on Aug. 9. The early announcement for next season comes as this year’s season is still well underway, with shows from Gary Clark Jr. (Sept. 14) and Robert Plant (Oct. 3) still on the docket.
Tickets cost $59.50 plus fees in advance or $60 plus fees at the gate, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 13 at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/vampire-weekend-tickets-71440026041. Vampire Weekend, which formed in the mid-2000s in New York City, broke onto the national scene in 2008 with its self-titled debut album. The band is currently touring behind its fourth studio album and first in six years, “Father of the Bride.”
