Missouri blues rock trio The Hooten Hallers will come screaming back to Volcanic Theatre Pub on Sunday, with local musician Andrew Carew (of Larry and His Flask) and Roscoe Wuestewald is set to open. Since the guitar-drums-saxophone juggernaut last visited Bend and Volcanic, in March 2018, it released “Live in Missouri,” a typically grimy, greasy explosion punctuated by singer-guitarist John Randall’s snarling, Dr. John-esque vocal presence. It’s also a fine look back at the group’s decade-plus career, from its beginnings in 2007 as a duo featuring Randall and drummer Andy Rehm (saxophone wailer Kellie Everett joined in the mid-2010s) to its recent run on Big Muddy Records. Of course (and I feel like a broken record here), you’ll get that at the show, too.

The Hooten Hallers, with Andrew Carew, Roscoe Wuestewald: 9 p.m. Sunday; $10 plus fees in advance, $12 at the door; Volcanic Theatre Pub, 70 SW Century Drive, Bend; volcanictheatre.com or 541-323-1881.
