Battle Ground, Washington, based soul singer, songwriter and guitarist Amber Sweeney, who will perform at McMenamins Old St. Francis School on Wednesday, has a long history of making music in the Pacific Northwest. As bassist for the band Enation, she appeared on the soundtrack for the 2004 Stephen King adaptation “Riding the Bullet”; she also made up half of the duo Everly alongside singer and actress Bethany Joy Lenz (“One Tree Hill,” on which the duo’s songs appeared). She’s gone solo in recent years, with her latest EP, 2017’s “Believing in Love,” drawing on influences such as Bonnie Raitt, Janis Joplin and Sheryl Crow. Last year her single with Australian producer Jazzy D., “Sweet Light,” hit No. 1 on Starpoint Radio’s UK Soul Chart.
