Expect the unexpected when the Red Elvises return to Bend to play McMenamins Old St. Francis School on Wednesday. Sure, maybe that’s clichéd, but it’s accurate for this group, which started in 1995 as the brainchild of German-born, Russian-raised frontman Igor Yuzov. Over the course of 12 studio albums, the fiercely independent band has continued to build on its self-described Siberian surf-rock sound, influenced by a revolving door of musicians hailing from the U.S., Israel, Bulgaria and beyond. At various times in its career, the group has featured saxophones, trumpets, accordions, ukuleles and just about any other instrument you could name, all in service of its massive-sounding (and often massively silly) rock ’n’ roll. If you’re looking for a party, the Red Elvises will deliver.

Red Elvises: 7 p.m. Wednesday; free; McMenamins Old St. Francis School, 700 NW Bond St., Bend; mcmenamins.com or 541-382-5174.
