Dizzy Wright may have had an inside track to hip-hop stardom thanks to his uncles, Layzie Bone and Flesh-n-Bone of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, but he’s built his career on his own terms.

Emerging from the not-so-burgeoning Las Vegas scene (he’s talked in past interviews about a lack of other rappers to look up to in his adopted hometown), the MC born La’Reonte Wright signed to Hopsin’s Funk Volume label in 2012 and released his weed-soaked debut, “SmokeOut Conversations,” that same year. Collaborations with Tech N9ne, Wyclef Jean, his familial heroes in Bone Thugs and more would follow as Wright honed his laid-back flow on numerous albums and mixtapes.

“Nobody Cares, Work Harder,” released in March, may be his most personal set to date, with songs such as “Self Love is Powerful” and “Problems and Blessings” showcasing a mature artist taking stock of his accomplishments and looking to the future.

He will bring the album’s tour to the Domino Room on Saturday.
