The Roots will rock Bend this summer.

Formed in the late ’80s in Philadelphia, The Roots helped popularize live-band hip-hop in the ’90s and 2000s, winning three Grammy Awards in the process. The group became the house band for “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” in 2009, and is currently house band for Fallon’s edition of “The Tonight Show.” The Roots are working on a new album, “End Game,” which will be their first since 2014’s “… And Then Shoot Your Cousin.”
