Jazz at the Oxford continues with the penultimate shows of its ninth season Friday and Saturday, featuring funk-soul-jazz saxophonist Paul Taylor. Once again, all three shows (one set Friday, two sets Saturday) are sold out, but fans who missed out on tickets can still catch Taylor at the free education workshop hosted by local musician Georges Bouhey at 11:15 a.m. Saturday. Originally from Denver, Taylor launched his solo career in 1995 with his debut album, “On the Horn.” He scored his first No. 1 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Albums chart with his 2007 album, “Ladies’ Choice.” “Countdown,” his most recent release in 2016, found Taylor melding his signature smooth-jazz sound with EDM, reggae, rock and blues influences.

Paul Taylor music education workshop: 11:15 a.m. Saturday; free; Jazz at the Oxford, The Oxford Hotel, 10 NW Minnesota Ave., Bend; jazzattheoxford.com or 541-382-8436.
